CSS variables (also known as CSS Custom Properties) are a really powerful—and underused—feature available in CSS today. These are a feature in CSS that allow you to define reusable values and use them throughout your stylesheet. CSS variables are similar to variables in programming languages, in that they allow you to define a value once and reuse it in multiple places.They are very similar to Sass or Less variables if you have any experience with them, but they actually have more functionality than variables from pre-processors.(If you've never heard of Sass or Less don't worry about it, you can just use CSS and get the most out of it by exploring these advanced techniques) In this video, I look at the very basics of CSS variables. From what CSS variables are and why they are awesome, as well as how to write and use them.
