I worked hard on Feb. 19 and spoke at the SF sister rally. I share Max’s anger over the “left” attacks on it.
The old antiwar movement is moribund. Despite all their years of existence and resources they appeared to turn out fewer in DC than Feb. 19 did. At best it was same order of magnitude. Giant failure - and no one attacked March 18 in the lead up to it!
I'm ashamed to say that I was not aware that Israel has attacked the airport at Aleppo. I wasn't aware that Israel is firing missiles into Syria on a continuing basis.

The US government's priorities are totally backwards and upside down, as well. War reparations should be paid to Iraq, Libya, and Syria, before even one dime goes to any military aid to Ukraine.
On NPR 5-6 years ago, I remember a segment regarding Syria. The so-called expert they interviewed to explain some of the conflict. He basically said that while the neighboring countries were persecuting the Kurds, Syria gave them refuge. They were also granted representation in government and a certain amount of autonomy. I remember thinking, so you pay your host country back by joining forces trying to topple your host. Nice!

I will do a simple retort for these politicians from the citizens. 'Hey Politicians. You vote for wars. You go fight your wars yourselves. Your children and grandchildren go fight your wars too. You risk your lives for your wars. You risk your wealth for your wars. You risk your legacy for your wars. Don't ask anyone to do what you are not willing to do yourself. It it is a worthy cause, people will fight, that includes you too.'
How can anyone with any morals and ethics use another people, many unwillingly, to fight, sacrifice and die to fight your perceived 'adversary'. It is beyond evil and vile. Only a sociopath so deeply blinded and by their own self-worship, self-importance and obliviosness to others pain. Schiff, Zinke,Nadler are plain evil and vile. Notice they always use the word 'we'. We are fighting. B-llSh_t. Everyone else but them are expected to fight. Those who vote for wars must go fight their wars from the front. Their children must go fight too. They must risk their lives, their wealth, their privilege, their legacy for their cause.
