Welcome back to Germany everybody! After visiting this beautiful country last year we have been planning our return trip - this time to German Bavaria to chase mountains and lakes Where we stayed Haus Sonnenschein: 🤍 Our journey started in Bratislava, Slovakia where we boarded a bus to Vienna Airport, caught a flight to Stutgart, Germany and drove across the country towards Eibsee Lake - big travel day but so worth it for the views of Zugspitze Mountain. After checking into our cute Airbnb we found a German pub serving pizza, crashed for the night and woke up to miserable weather. But we still wanted to conquer a German mountain here in the Bavarian Alps...it just happens to be "Wank" mountain...yep. What a shocking day here in Germany - but so worth it! Thank you! 🤍 Learn, Share, Subscribe US States & Territories 🤍 206 Countries in One Series 🤍 Social Media: 🤍 🤍 More information about the video content bellow: 1. Bavaria, officially the Free State of Bavaria, is a landlocked federal state of Germany, occupying its southeastern corner. With an area of 70,550.19 square kilometres, Bavaria is the largest German state by land area. Its territory comprises roughly a fifth of the total land area of Germany. With 13 million inhabitants, it is Germany's second-most-populous state. Bavaria is both the oldest and the largest state in Germany. It is home to 12.9 million inhabitants as of 2016 and it encompasses over 300 cities and towns. 2. Free State has been an adopted designation after the abolition of monarchy in the aftermath of World War I in several German states. Bavarians have often emphasized a separate national identity and considered themselves as "Bavarians" first, "Germans" second. This feeling started to come about more strongly among Bavarians when the Kingdom of Bavaria joined the Protestant Prussian-dominated German Empire while the Bavarian nationalists wanted to keep Bavaria as Catholic and an independent state. Nowadays, aside from the minority Bavaria Party, most Bavarians accept that Bavaria is part of Germany. 3. Bavaria's capital and largest city, Munich, is the third-largest city in Germany. Munich – the capital of Bavaria – is known for more than just the world’s largest beer festival and BMWs. Apart from these, the city is also rich in beautiful architecture, meaty sausages (traditionally eaten for breakfast), good football, museums, vintage trams, parties, exhibitions, and parks – one of which is larger than even New York’s Central Park. 4. Bavaria is home to Oktoberfest, an enormous festival that has been held in Munich for over 200 years. The first Oktoberfest took place in 1810 to honor Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage, but today it is associated with German beer, cuisine and Bavarian culture. 5. The first Nobel laureate for physics, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen (1845-1923), made his home in Munich, Bavaria. Röntgen is most famous for discovering x-rays. 6. The world famous Neuschwanstein Castle is located in Füssen, Bavaria. This fairytale castle was built by King Ludwig II (1845-1886). 7. The Neues Kino Gabriel is most likely the oldest cinema in the world. It has existed since 1906 and it’s been open ever since. The Guinness Book of World Records names the Pionier Cinema in the Polish Szczecin as the oldest cinema, however it wasn’t established until 1907. Presented by Munich Sotheby's International Realty For more information go to 🤍 The so called 'Blue Land' of Bavaria was already a very special spot over more than a hundred years ago. Here, between Kochel and Murnau, in front of the impressive backdrop of the Alps, nature seems to glow even more and the blue color of the lakes is even more intense. This impressive experience of nature was one of the reasons why the painters of the so called 'Blaue Reiter' settled here at the beginning of the 20th century. They founded the expressionism between 1908 and 1914. Whether Gabriele Münter, Franz Marc or August Macke visited the country house at Raut 30 in Schlehdorf during this period? The stately building can no longer tell us. It could well be, however, because the house was built on the shores of Lake Kochel as early as 1898. According to the plans of the Prussian architect Fritz Klingholz, a stately building in the style of historicism was constructed on a sunny plot of land. On your own playground you can watch your children play. Several terraces provide sunny spots. On the tennis court, which is also part of your property, you will surely have many tournaments with your friends and business partners. And with so much land of your own and the prospect of further, leasable additional areas, even the dream of owning your own horses in the direct neighborhood could become reality. The idyllic location, spoiled by nature, and the high recreational value of the property are hard to beat. Add to this the exclusive country house: your home. Property ID: REXGKQ

Bavarian Vistas - Bavaria, Germany (Landscape Video Series) 4K/UltraHD features stunning and spectacular aerial, walking, and drone video footage great for travel, visit, and tourism planning set to original music. The video is the perfect companion for indoor exercise routines involving treadmills, steppers, cycling, and rowing. Bavaria, officially the Free State of Bavaria, is a landlocked state in the south-east of Germany. With an area of 70,550.19 square kilometres (27,239.58 sq mi), Bavaria is the largest German state by land area, comprising roughly a fifth of the total land area of Germany. With 13 million inhabitants, it is second in population only to North Rhine-Westphalia, but due to its large size it is one of the least densely populated states. Bavaria's main cities are Munich (its capital and largest city and also the third largest city in Germany), Nuremberg, and Augsburg. The history of Bavaria includes its earliest settlement by Iron Age Celtic tribes, followed by the conquests of the Roman Empire in the 1st century BC, when the territory was incorporated into the provinces of Raetia and Noricum. It became a stem duchy in the 6th century AD following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. It was later incorporated into the Holy Roman Empire, became an independent kingdom after 1806, joined the Prussian-led German Empire in 1871 while retaining its title of kingdom, and finally became a state of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1949. Bavaria has a unique culture, largely because of the state's large Catholic plurality and conservative traditions. Bavarians have traditionally been proud of their culture, which includes a language, cuisine, architecture, festivals such as Oktoberfest and elements of Alpine symbolism. The state also has the second largest economy among the German states by GDP figures, giving it a status as a rather wealthy German region. Contemporary Bavaria also includes parts of the historical regions of Franconia and Swabia. In this video we go on a super idyllic hike in Southern Germany (Bavaria), where we chill with some cows, enjoy very scenic views and burn some calories. Another beautiful Bavarian town ruined by the weather during my stay. Included as a link between the Romantic Road area and Nuremberg, I must admit to really liking Coburg, and in particular the little details (book library and buses) which just made me smile. The bus station in particular hit me because I was staring at all these buses (six) that appeared to be 'stuck' and wondering what was going on. It was like a synchronised swimming display as they all departed at once (not filmed as I was still staring in awe as I realised what was happening). I saw the book sharing booth in one other place a few days later so clearly it is not a Coburg thing but a German one. Germany has very strict privacy laws so I did try to avoid filming people (if you watch all my recent Bavaria 2019 videos you will often see me filming the wall or a bush while passing people). I say this because I didn't intend to film the ladies at the book booth but they clearly show it being used and maybe something for other cities to try.
