This video was originally launched in 2015 Sometimes referred to as ‘dyspraxia’ or ‘clumsiness’, this condition is more properly called Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). Movement skills are a fundamental aspect of human behavior, enabling us to perform everyday tasks, to express ourselves and to maintain our health and well-being. However, some children lack the movement skills they need to cope with the everyday demands of home and school, despite normal intellectual, sensory and neurological development. Anna Barnett is a Professor in Psychology at Oxford Brookes researching perceptualmotor development, with a special interest in both DCD and handwriting. Her work focuses on the diagnosis and description of DCD, its impact on health and well-being and the development of tools to assist health and education professionals to identify and help children with movement and handwriting difficulties. A new report being released by the Telethon Kids Institute in collaboration with Victoria University has revealed the significant social and emotional toll of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) – a condition which on average affects one child in every Australian classroom. The Impact for DCD Survey conducted between 2018 and 2019 is an Australian-first survey – and the largest of its kind to be completed globally – which identified the challenges experienced by children with DCD and their families. DCD is a neurodevelopmental condition characterised by impairments in the development of motor coordination. These impairments significantly impact many aspects of life, including activities of daily living like getting dressed, eating with utensils, writing and playground activities. It also impacts academic and occupational achievement, as well as secondary mental and physical health issues. The survey examined a variety of domains, including the challenges related to obtaining a diagnosis, impact of the disorder on activity and participation, difficulties encountered within the school environment, access to therapy, and the social and emotional impacts. The survey found that 82% of families felt that their child’s DCD was negatively impacting their ability to reach their potential at school – and 92% of families were concerned about the impact DCD was having on their child’s social and emotional health. As a result of the findings, researchers are now calling on increased screening for diagnosis and better standardised treatment and intervention practices. They’re also calling for better recognition of DCD by Education Departments across Australia – as well as funding commitments to roll out awareness training and resources for teachers and educators to make schooling more accessible for children with DCD. With a referral from a doctor, children can come for a screening at the UMCG Center for Rehabilitation in Beatrixoord. After this multidisciplinary screening, it is determined whether the child has DCD.

In addition to patients' performance, much can be learned from their spontaneous choices, such as leading leg, position of hands, climbing technique, etc 1. Instruction: jump up the stairs.Performance: patient jumps with both legs.Observation: patient pushes relatively equal with both legs, but lands a bit loudly. Might indicate a weak lower extremity, weak core muscles or poor coordination. 2. Instruction: climb two stairs at a time.Performance: patient climbs reciprocally, with no preference to either leg, but pushes his left thigh with his hand for support.Observation: might indicate a difficulty of the quads and glutes, or with maintaining balance. 3. Instruction: climb up backwards.Performance: patient struggles to plan his movement, first uses one hand and rotates his right leg, then lifts himself up using both handrails. Observation: patient uses a lot of rotation and fixates his hands. Stairs' height is too challenging. 4. *At a lower height patient performs the task without the handrails, but still rotates his body to compensate on muscle weakness or ankle ROM. 5. Instruction: touch the lower stair with the toes of each leg.Performance: patient succeeds with his right leg, but not with his left leg. In the second try he rotates his body, lifts his heel higher than when performing with the right leg, and puts more weight on his left toes to push himself back up.Observation: might indicate a weakness of the right leg, pure muscle weakness, difficulty in maintaining balance over the right leg, or difficulty with coordination. 6. Instruction: climb up and down sideways.Performance: patient uses 'step to' technique when climbing, and a reciprocal (step over) technique when going down. On his second attempt he succeeds climbing reciprocally. Observation: patient first uses an easier method for climbing, and only later uses a more complex, yet efficient, method. Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is de Engelse naam voor een motorische coördinatiestoornis. Kinderen met DCD hebben een achterstand in de ontwikkeling van de motorische vaardigheden, en moeite met het coördineren van bewegingen. Hierdoor kunnen ze alledaagse taken minder makkelijk uitvoeren dan leeftijdsgenoten. Kinderen met DCD worden vaak als 'onhandig' omschreven. Bij het UMCG Centrum voor Revalidatie in Beatrixoord kunnen kinderen op verwijzing van een arts voor een screening komen. Na deze multidisciplinaire screening wordt vastgesteld of het kind DCD heeft.

🤍 Проигрыватель Denon DCD-2020AE предназначен для высококачественного воспроизведения дисков SACD и CD-Audio, и оснащен многими фирменными технологиями. Для сигнала, снимаемого с дисков SACD, предусмотрена прямая DSD-конверсия для сохранения максимального качества звука. Задающий генератор преобразователя разрабатывался так, чтобы обеспечить минимальный уровень джиттера, и самую высокую точность работы ЦАП. В блоке питания плеера установлено два раздельных сетевых трансформатора для аналоговых и цифровых схем, что обеспечило наилучшую изоляцию их друг от друга, и устранение перекрестных помех. Оба трансформатора помещены в специальные экраны для снижения уровня электромагнитных помех. Передняя панель проигрывателя выполнена из алюминия, а верхняя, боковые и нижняя панель имеют многослойную структуру для лучшей защиты от внешних вибраций. Кроме воспроизведения дисков, Denon DCD-2020AE может использоваться и как высококачественный ЦАП, так как он оснащен коаксиальным и оптическим входами, а также USB-B разъемом для подключения к ПК. Параметры USB-входа позволяют принимать от компьютера цифровой поток с параметрами до 24 бит / 192 кГц в асинхронном режиме. Еще один USB-вход на передней панели проигрывателя предназначен для прямого подключения iPod/iPhone, а также портативных накопителей. Конструкция проигрывателя оптимизирована с целью сокращения длины цепей передачи аудиосигнала, а в аналоговой части используются отборные комплектующие аудиофильского класса. Предусмотрены стереофонический, а также оптический и коаксиальный выходы, выполненные на разъемах с позолоченными контактными поверхностями.
