In case you haven't seen it yet, here's a sample of one of the more relaxing tracks we're writing: 🤍 OH! Today was fun! I got to participate in a STEAM event at a school down in Rio Rico! I sang the National Anthem, flew my paramotor around for the students, and showed them an old Tesla Coil I built (along with answering questions about YouTube and stuff.) I was actually surprised how many of them knew who I was! It felt like a mini-convention (except I got to fly and shoot lightning bolts! XP) I don't have a video of that yet, but I DO have a video of a particularly awesome sunset flight I had a few weeks ago! Totally Nil wind day, so I could fly incredibly low without having to worry about rotor! Here's a clip: 🤍 Anyway, I'm flying to Mississippi this coming Tuesday (March 5th) so keep an eye out for new music, and possible another Genre Switching Challenge! ;-) I'm gonna go to sleep now... First, we stayed at Disney's Aulani Resort for the 4th of July to watch the fireworks: 🤍 Then we went to the north shore and stayed in a house on the beach. LOTS of snorkeling and LOTS of sunburn! I also rescued a juvenile sea turtle that was stranded in a tiny hot tidepool after the tide went out. I WON'T be showing you that video, however, as I don't want to get fined for touching a sea turtle. :-P Instead, here's a few clips of my favorite snorkeling spot in Oahu! 🤍 I also saw a Whitetip Reef Shark during the day which I wasn't expecting as they're mostly nocturnal. :-P I got a video of that too, but it's on my Dad's camera so I won't be able to post it until I get the camera from him. It'll probably be in the music video for our next single "Let Down" coming next Friday! :-D Ok, it's 5:45am and I need to go to sleep because we're watching Spider-Man tomorrow and I wanna be alert so I can help him fight bad-guys in case he asks us to help him fight bad-guys. Usually, I'll post a link to something going on behind the scenes, ask a few questions, or tell a story about something stupid I did. It's my lazy alternative to Vlogging. Speaking of stupid stories, I have one from this week! I'm currently in Mississippi with my brother, Nathanael (Baasik). I came down so we could write some new music. It's been going well, except for a small hiccup we had a few days ago. See, I brought a paraglider to teach him how to fly (he's already a pilot, so I figured he'd learn quickly). I don't have my motor, so I attached him to a rope and pulled him into the air like a kite! (Here's a picture: 🤍 ). All was going well until I decided that we needed to go higher... We found a big, grassy field, then I got in his car and (like an idiot) held the rope out the window and gently pressed the accelerator. (Now, keep in mind, this was after many flights over the course of a few days, so he already knew how to launch, fly, steer, prevent stalling, etc. We also had an emergency cutaway so we weren't being COMPLETELY stupid, just a little... XP) Anyway, long story short, the car jumped from 1st to 2nd rather violently and the sudden boost sent my brother rocketing into the sky! The rope (which was wrapped around my wrist) was yanked free, leaving several blisters, strains, and bruises (nothing broken, fortunately). Nate got the short end of the stick, though, as the sudden surge then loss of power sent him into a sharp, diving turn… straight into the powerlines… Now, he handled the situation perfectly and managed to land underneath the lines himself but, unfortunately, the wing caught the bottom line and the leading edge got completely shredded. Thus, my Cross Country glider is no more… :-( ALL THAT SAID, I'm in the market for a new paraglider! Preferably a 24m, EN-B rated XC wing by Ozone… You know, if any of you happen to have one and would be willing to sell it. XP OK!! That was long-winded... Thanks for reading! We really loved performing this song on #AGT and we wanted to release a full version STREAM ON SPOTIFY HERE: 🤍 We noticed there is no official version of this song that doesn't have all the dialog from the play, so we decided to record our own "chat -free" version! As you can see, all the instruments were played live by my stupidly talented brother Nate (Baasik), and the vocals were recorded by me, Nate, and my amazing fiance, Claire. We initially recorded this for our live show (so far we've only played at a few private functions, but we're hoping to take it on the road once we release our new album... oh yeah, we're working on that too). Anyway, since we had already recorded the instrumental and backing vocals for our show, we decided it wouldn't hurt to release our cover YouTube as well (I'm no Ben Platt, but I tried my best!) Unfortunately, even before uploading this, I know for a fact that it'll get copyright flagged just like everything I upload these days so, if you like it, please stream it on Spotify. At least we'll get a small percentage from that. I'm gonna get real for a sec... I miss making YouTube videos, but if I'm completely honest, the copyright flagging and subsequent blacklisting and algorithmic punishment have gotten so bad that I can no longer make a living off of YouTube...
