🤍 Played by: xRavenXP Longplay of Suikoden game, an RPG developed and published by Konami for Playstation and Sega Saturn (this version only released in Japan). The game unfolds from the political advances of the Scarlet Moon Empire. The player controls McDohl Tyr, son of Teo McDohl, which is one of the generals of the empire quoted, and that is targeted to collect 108 warriors (referred to in the series as the 108 Stars of Destiny) to organize a revolt against the sovereign state and corrupt bringing peace to a land ravaged by war Suikoden has some inspirations in Shui Hu Zhuan Chinese history. Tir is the son of Teo, as has been said, and was mostly created by his childhood friends. Early on, he learned to have principles and demonstrate good attitudes. Also learned to battle, having the dream one day serve the empire as his father. Let's talk about friends of his childhood: Gremio (one of which helped Tir a lot during his childhood), Pahn (one of the main guardians of the kingdom of Gregminister), Cleo (a female mage of kingdom) and many other important characters. The characters start to act under the supervision of Mathiu (which was a great military strategist in the past) in a castle called Toran Castle and the Liberation Army commanded by him and our hero Tir shall fight against the corrupt Imperial Army. On his journey our heroes will meet new people, some characters are fighters (like Flik, Viktor and more), and others who contribute to the growth of the castle and also for the history and features of the game as a whole. The battle system is traditional and runes can be equipped on the characters and weapons, attacks the system of double, triple and even quadrupl techniques is available and can be used when characters that have affinity are together in battle. There is also battles on castles, which are wars to be decided at jo-ken-po style with spells, physical attack or bow and arrow. The video includes all the characters (stars of destiny) recruited and complete end. One of the best RPGs of the PSX and a plot that will develop gradually and triggering many unforgettable events. In the first Suikoden, and in the entire series, you are generally presented with choice on whether to let people live or die. It probably comes as no surprise that you're supposed to let people live in a game where you need to collect 108 characters, but this instance with Kraze is an anomaly in the world of Suikoden. After the correct story beats happen, you are given the option to execute Kraze, or let him live. If you let him live, he runs away and is never seen again in any Suikoden games. However if you execute him, outside of hearing an execution sound effect, it changes literally nothing! I suspect this was done as a red herring to make you think you can kill people with no consequences, in an effort to get you to play the game multiple times. As far as I'm aware there is not even a single line of dialogue that changes if you do this. Is there one I may have missed? In Suikoden II, you can recruit an entire squirrel family! Mukumuku can be found early in the game by checking the tree behind grandpa's house in Kyaro Town 3 times. If you didn't recruit Mukumuku then, you can recruit him in the Greenhill area, walking the path between Greenhill and the Muse border, with an open party member slot. The rest of the squirrel family has to be recruited in this order, with an open party member slot for them. Makumaku can be found by walking between Greenhill and Two River. Mikumiku will join you if you walk between Greenhill and Forest Village. Mekumeku is located along the path between Greenhill and the Greenhill-Matilda Path. Lastly Mokumoku can be found wandering around under a spot south of Forest Village, as indicated on the map. If you manage to recruit the entire squirrel family, they have a 5 squirrel unite the removes enemies from battle. In Suikoden II, sometimes when entering your dojo, you'll find Ninjas hanging out in the top right section of the dojo in front of the Windows. 3 of the Ninja actually have quite useful information. One tells you to check behind the Appraiser in Rockaxe, and if you follow his advice, you'll score a Violence Rune! Another Ninja tells you to check in front of the Blacksmith's in Tinto, and if you search the minecart full of coal, you'll find a Power Ring, which is an accessory that raises Defense by 8 points, and Attack by 20. The Last Ninja tells you about a Basket in Lakewest, and if you check it out, you'll find the Kindness Rune, which increases the attack power of a party member depending on how long they are in the active party! There's a pretty useful exploit involving the Kindness Rune, but I'll have to save that for the next video as it's too much instruction to get into today! With a brilliant 2D artstyle, a great wartime storyline, and some clever combat mechanics, it stands as one of the very best RPGs ever made, and launched one of the most beloved series that is revered even to this day. In Suikoden II, when you finally recruit the Blacksmith Tessai in Kuskus Town, you can already level your weapons up to Level 12 in Kuskus to begin with, but if you want to know all of the hammer locations, the Iron Hammer can be found in Forest Village from a person in the armory who will sell it to you for 2000 Potch, and the Copper Hammer can be found in Gregminister Castle, hang a right as soon as you enter the castle and speak to the knight hanging out there to receive the Copper Hammer. More importantly, after liberating Greenhill, if you go to the Blacksmith room in the Academy, one of the students will give you the Silver Hammer to Level your weapons up to Level 15. Game: Suikoden Platforms: Playstation, Sega Saturn, Microsoft Windows Release Date: December 15, 1995 (JP), December 1996 (NA), April 1997 (EU), September 17, 1998 (Saturn/JP), 1998 (Windows/JP) The Hero (nameable by the player, though known as "Tir" in official material) is the son of a Great General of the Scarlet Moon Empire, Teo McDohl. Teo is called away to fight a battle in the northlands, leaving his son alone under the guardianship of several family friends: long-time friend Ted and servants Cleo, Pahn and Gremio. Together, they accompany the hero to begin his career in the Imperial Army. He soon comes to realise through his missions and association with his leaders that the corruption within the Empire's top tier has led to a country whose populace is enslaved and unhappy. Through Ted, who is left hurt by a top servant of the king's, he comes into possession of the Rune of Life and Death (also known as the Soul Eater), one of 27 True Runes that govern various aspects of the world. Because the Rune is ruthlessly hunted for by corrupt officials within the Empire and their manipulators, the Hero and his companions are forced to flee the capital city of Gregminster with the help of Viktor, a suspicious character with unknown intentions. Unable to move properly, Ted stays behind to delay the enemy. Pahn, unsure of where his loyalty lies, decided to side with the Empire. After escaping, Viktor reveals he is part of the ongoing rebellion determined to face the corrupt Empire. Taking a liking to The Hero, he enlists him into the organization with the approval of their leader, Odessa Silverberg and reluctance of other members, particularly warrior Flik. In his short time there, the hero is only convinced of the need to struggle against the Empire when the hideout is attacked and sacked by Imperial forces, who kill Odessa after she tries to protect an innocent child. Recruiting the help of Odessa's brother, former imperial strategist Mathiu Silverberg, the Hero becomes the new Liberation Army leader. This is the upscaled opening for Suikoden III / Suikoden 3, and it's done so in 4K. If some shots appear smudgy or blurry, they are either drawn so to begin with or are mixed with some 3D force the denoiser to smooth them out more than necessary. The final render has been manually sharpened for each individual scene in the clips.
In Suikoden II. Chaco causes the party a lot of grief before joining the party. If you're pretty mean to him before he joins you with the dialogue options, he'll actually join the party at Level 1. This seems like it's intentional design, but I believe this is actually a bug. In Suikoden II, Viki has a low chance of teleporting your party to the wrong area. You'll notice this happening if she says "Huh?" instead of "Shazam!". Usually you just get teleported to the wrong town, although you can also be teleported into the Cave of Wind Dungeon as well. If you're really lucky, you'll be teleported to the second floor of Radat Town's item shop, which has 5 Treasures, a Blue Gate Rune, a Mole Armor, a Dragon Armor, a Gold Emblem, and a Mega Medicine x9. Here's something I bet no one has ever pointed out to you in Suikoden! You see this Windmill in the Dwarven Village? You can actually move it with your mind. No, I mean in real life. I'm sure you've already noticed this windmill is already either spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise, if you focus on it, you can make it spin either way. I'm actually not kidding, I added a visual which should help illustrate the effect. This optical illusion happens because this windmill has 2 frames of animation. I'm really curious to see if anyone else watching this video can do this. To win the Cook Off in Suikoden II, firstly be sure to get all the courses right. Appetizers should be kept to things like Soup and Salad, Sweet things for Dessert, and everything else for your main course. Also take note of what the announcer tells you about the character. If the character likes fish, try to make them a dish with fish in it if you can. I anticipate for the *Suikoden I & II HD Remaster" that a trophy is going to be collect all the runes. Well here's a choice between Fortune or Prosperity! To get early access to these runes, as soon as you gain control of your character, you need to make it all the way to Sarady to the West and speak to the man in the house in the Northeast side of town. To survive the trip however I recommend grinding to at least Level 8 so you "Let Go" the bulk of the monsters along the passage, and don't forget to pick up a Headband and a Leather Coat to help with the grind. If done successfully the man will give you the Fortune Rune, which gives your characters Double EXP. However, if you wait until Ted joins your entourage, if you make the trip then, you'll get the Prosperity Rune instead, garnering Double Money. Personally, I like to get the Fortune Rune for Double EXP. Yes, Exp scales in Suikoden, but by end game, the Fortune Rune makes it way easier to get characters to max level. In Suikoden II, you can find the Kindess Rune in a basket of vegetables on the dock in Lakewest. How it works is the longer a party member is in your active party, the higher the attack power boost the affixed member will become. However, if that character gets knocked out in battle, it will lower their kindness rating. We can take advantage of this by taking a Star of Destiny that hasn't been used in the party and making sure they get knocked out. If you do this right, you'll underflow your kindness stat to max, giving the party member 999 Attack! When you first play Suikoden, it seems as though you can't run in the game, but there are actually a few ways. You are most likely to first notice if you ever have Stallion in your active party, if you hit the circle button you can Dash. This is due to Stallions "True Holy Rune". However early on in the town of Kaku, you can buy a Holy Crystal and attach it to somebody so you can dash well before you recruit Stallion. Secondly, I want to draw attention to Stallions Escape Talisman. His, (Along with Krin's actually) has unlimited uses for some reason. You can also take them out of his inventory and carry them around with other characters and it retains it's unlimited characteristics.
