Learn how to set up a green screen in OBS Studio and Streamlabs OBS in this green screen set up tutorial and guide video. Green screens (or Blue and Magenta Screens) use a chroma key filter to remove pixels and replace them with an alpha (transparent) channel allowing you to place images or videos behind you in your streams or other film and broadcasting environments. Within this video, I show how to configure and set up the green screen, how to use Source Mirror (within StreamFX; 🤍 ) to replicate a camera source within OBS Studio, and then add a chroma key to give black into transparency effect. I show how to remove pixilation and fuzziness from your green screen, and give lots of lighting and camera tips for getting the best from your green screen. I use the Corsair Elgato green screen as an example to show how different lighting effects can improve the quality of the green screen, as well as show the results of a poll I recently did on Twitter showing whether or not streamers should use a green screen. If you are a Twitch, YouTube Gaming, or Facebook Gaming content creator, or even just a YouTuber, you will more than likely find this video very useful when setting up your green screen scenes and sources. Nobody thinks they have enough room to do greenscreen well, let alone perfectly.
