We are investigating the Sejong Daewang-class destroyer, one of the most important warships in the East Pacific. #SejongDaewang #destroyer #warship Why did South Korea need an Aegis destroyer? Is the Sejong Daewang-class an exact copy of the U.S. Arleigh Burke-class? What are the weapon systems of the Sejong Daewang-class and their capabilities? Has South Korea built these destroyers against only China and North Korea? 00:00 Introduction 01:01 Historical background 02:13 Programme history 03:23 Design 04:16 General characteristics 04:58 Aegis Combat System 05:46 SSM-700K Haeseong anti-ship missile 06:04 RIM-66 SM-2 Block IIIB and RIM-156A SM-2 Block IV air defence missiles (possible RIM-161 SM-3 and RIM-174 SM-6 acquisition) 07:23 Hong Sang Eo / K-ASROC Red Shark anti-submarine warfare missile 07:43 K745 Cheong Sang Eo / Blue Shark torpedo 08:04 Hyunmoo III land attack cruise missile 08:27 RIM-116 RAM 08:41 127mm Mk 45 Mod 4 naval gun 08:54 30mm seven-barrel Goalkeeper CIWS 09:30 Analysis Welcome to our channel. All the weapon systems are like books, and they tell us their stories. The Weapon Detective investigates these books, reads between the lines, analyses, and tells the untold. At the dawn of the Second Cold War, the fruits of new projects give us clues about the future. But current weapon systems also have their own stories. In our videos, you can find technical information, historical backgrounds, what happened during the development processes, combat experience and political projection. While the Second Cold War is rising, Let's investigate the weapons together. © Republic of Korea Ministry of National Defense, Republic of Korea Navy, rider eye-Aviation&Military, GAUDIPIA, Korea Defence Network, 유용원TV, Bemil, KODEF, U.S. Navy, Defense Visiual Information Distribution Service, U.S. Department of Defense, 연합뉴스TV, KTV, Satoshi Harada, xiangyu chen, KCTV, KCNA, KBS 다큐, sae.pp5, つぅチャンネル, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, binmei, AGCハッチ, UEP 艦艇動画 / UEP ships video, Arirang News, DAPA, 동아사이언스, Ralph Beijring, LIG Nex1, MihoshiK, Vossiej, Karle94 Music: 해군가ㅡ차임Ver (몽스튜브[북JTV]) Please click the link to watch our other Weapon Detective videos 🤍🤍youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEMWqyRZP_LrdqB-XbqY2LocUVEaG_w7D Please click the link to watch our other South Korean Systems videos🤍🤍youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEMWqyRZP_LpRJdM5hpRRKKQMaKtFfAxS Please click the link to watch our other Weapon Detective-Sea videos 🤍🤍youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEMWqyRZP_Lr1-xIzFrM6xUHCOgetdkmp 🤍twitter.com/WeaponDetective 🤍🤍instagram.com/weapondetective weapondetective🤍gmail.com
Sejong the Great class dosen't have a BMD system and also dosen't can use SM-3 missiles now. These class can detect and track the North Korean any blasstic missiles. South Korean Navy will develop these class to can operate BMD system by SM-3 missiles.
Korea has a huge domestic ship building industry; these only cost US$930million each! With 128 VLS cells. These are like licensed Arleigh-Burkes but with even more missile capacity. Meanwhile those Canadians and Aussies are going to build Type 26 frigates for $$$Billions each. Love how practical the S. Koreans are! saranghe
On February 7, 2016, when North Korea launched a ballistic missile, the South Korean navy dispatched two state-of-the-art Aegis destroyers. According to the JoongAng Ilbo (electronic edition), a South Korean newspaper, the North Korean missile, which was launched at 9:30 a.m., disappeared from the radar screen of the South Korean navy's Aegis ship six minutes after the launch.
The sudden loss of the target caused confusion among the navy, with voices saying, "Maybe a ballistic missile exploded in the air and shattered into pieces."
Of course, the Japanese and American Aegis ships were able to carry out the pursuit mission without any trouble. , we know all about what happened to the rest of the past (the objects we call satellites today). The South Korean Navy had become a hindrance to the United States and Japan.
My mate served in this ship, the dicipline required onboard was so strict he often joked by saying "Sejong the Great? Its more like Sejong the DemonKing...."
What a nice ship we should have built something like this to replace the Tico's.
If China made similar looking it is copy-cat if korean or japan is not? haha
basically the arleigh burke on steroids. they are pretty much the largest ships of their type on the planet.
Would it be possible to focus more on weapon systems that have seen actual combat and how they performed in the real world?
Command chains of war campaign, okinawa bound mission, I just shot a KDX2 with 24 C802 while a J10 and a J11 were intruding its air defence and being fired at, none of the cruise missiles made it to the ship... I have no idea how one of these next generation warships can be damaged...
FYI, your pronounciation of sejong dae wang is almost perfect.
You deserve a medal for attempting to actually pronounce the korean class ship names.
The Korean pronunciation of the destroyer is very good.
South Korean Material gives you an insta Like.
Korean defence industry is doing well Korean should makes true alliance on the ground of common enemy and boost his surveillance capabilities, capable bunkers and loitering munitions in massive numbers
We have merican Burke , we have Japanese Burke now we have Korean Burke
Korean should make it's own nuclear weapons or atlist dirty bomb and chemical and biological weapons because of no one is coming to help you when you needed bmd can't protect you nor your fake alliance
Nice video. And a hilarious analysis "after the three-stage destroyer-building programme, the ROKN does not even have a single warship to be described as a destroyer by international standards" LOL about:invalid#zCSafez
what makes the noise level so important?
🤘❤️
